Parent Support Coaching

Parenting a child with a trauma history, prenatal exposure, or attachment disruption is not a job that generic advice was built for. Our one-on-one coaching sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are — whether you're stuck on a specific behavior, navigating a school crisis, or simply trying to understand why the strategies you've been given aren't working.

Each session goes beyond surface-level advice to help you identify what's actually driving what you're seeing, develop a response that fits your child's real needs, and build the grounded confidence to carry that understanding into daily life. Coaching is available as a single deep-dive session or as a structured package for ongoing support.

Group Workshops

You are not the only parent in this. Our group workshops bring adoptive, foster, and kinship parents together in a facilitated learning environment designed to educate, validate, and equip. Sessions are built around the realities families actually face — not theory, not one-size-fits-all parenting scripts, but practical, trauma-informed insight that parents can take home and use.

Topics span behavioral interpretation, emotional regulation, attachment, educational advocacy, and navigating complex family dynamics. Workshops are available virtually and in person, and are designed to foster both learning and the kind of peer connection that reminds parents they are not alone in this work.

Professional Development Training

The families you serve need more than good intentions — they need professionals who understand the intersection of trauma, neurodevelopment, and adoption. Wise Care Agency offers specialized training for agencies, child welfare organizations, schools, and mental health providers who work with adoptive, foster, and kinship families.

Trainings are designed to fill the gaps that standard professional development leaves behind: why behavioral strategies fail this population, what schools miss about academic struggles, and how professionals can shift from managing behavior to understanding it. All sessions are facilitated by Camillia Whitehead, LCSW-C, and can be delivered virtually or in person.
