Wise Care Agency was created to close that gap. Families raising children through adoption, foster care, and kinship placement deserve more than support that disappears when the placement is finalized. They deserve a resource that stays — one that understands the complexity of trauma, attachment, and neurodevelopment, and can translate that understanding into real guidance for real family life. Our mission is to build an integrated family experience: one where parents feel equipped, children feel understood, and families feel whole.
Wise Care Agency is not a therapy practice, and it is not a placement agency. It is something the adoption and foster care world has long needed but rarely had: a specialized, trauma-informed coaching resource designed specifically for the post-placement journey. We don't offer cookie-cutter advice or generic parenting scripts. We help parents see their child differently — understanding behavior before reacting to it, building connection before demanding compliance, and finding their footing in one of the most complex, meaningful roles a person can take on. You love your child deeply. We help make that love more effective.
The Mission

All About Our Story
Camillia Whitehead, LCSW-C, brings over two decades of clinical experience across some of the most demanding environments in child welfare and family support — from residential treatment and adoption therapy to maternal child health and school-based clinical supervision. She is Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) certified, a Maryland Board Certified Social Work Supervisor, and has worked with organizations including C.A.S.E. and Adoptions Together.
Her personal history — her mother was raised in foster care — gives her more than credentials. It gives her context. And that context shapes every session, every framework, and every family she serves.
